ORWO WOLFEN NC500

The WOLFEN NC500 is a color negative film with a sensitivity of 500 ASA and 36 frames. It is the first colour film produced in the German factory in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, where the legendary German ORWO films were made. It was released on the German market in the summer of 2022. The basis of this film is a unique formula derived from the Agfa cinematographic material used in the film Memories of Africa. It was characterised by its typical green colour, desaturated shadows and accentuated grain.

In the words of the creators, the ORWO NC500 does not try to imitate those films currently available on the market. However, it creates an alternative film with different characteristics and a different colour palette.
